So I turned 30.
And I wanted to write a little bit about it because being alive for three decades ain’t just no little piece of pie.
I wondered what kind of post I should write to commemorate the big 3-0. At first I toyed with the idea of writing a 30s themed beauty post like “30 Beauty Tips.” But the idea bored me.
Instead, I’d rather just write about what I’m really thinking.
Previously I had stated that I am “not all that crazy” about asian beauty brands. And I’m still not all that crazy about them.
But! I am giving them more of a go. Especially now that I’ve been dabbling more with makeup.
With skincare, I don’t like my products to be loaded with so many random synthetic chemicals.
And to me this often seems to be the case with asian brands.
But with makeup, I’m not too picky yet about how natural or synthetic my makeup can be. Mainly because I don’t use that much makeup.
Today was my first time riding my bike to work! Yeah!
It also happened to be Bike To Work Day throughout the SF Bay Area.
Because I’m a cautious cat and highly sensitive to inner city pressure, I had waited for this very day to make the leap from casual biker to urban commuter.
Prior to this, I even made sure to attend an urban bicycling safety class provided by the SF Bike Coalition. Yup.
I mean yeah, I’ve ridden bikes in traffic before. But never in a city like San Francisco. With all the hills and the trams and the freaking cars, cars, cars everywhere.
Bike To Work Day is perfect for first time commuters like me.
