Paris Lights: Night Time Scenes From The City of Lights

August 24, 2012

I once told someone that my favorite type of photography is night time photography. His response to that was that I must like complication in my life. But I swear, recently in my life, I have craved for nothing more than simplicity. Above all, simplicity in the way I look at things. Overanalyzing and picking at the details is too costly, in terms of time and energy. I’ve learned a neat little trick where I breathe through emotions that start as a little clenching feeling in my stomach. Before they well up into a full-blown stress fest, I breathe out and I simply let them go.

Simplicity. That’s beautiful.

In a few days, I will turn 27. I will be compiling a list of things that I have learned in my 3 to the 3rd power years of being alive. Things that I continue to learn.

In the meantime, I will leave you with some night time scenes of this city that has become very dear to my heart. And a lovely quote for you to dwell upon.

“There’s only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving; and that’s your own self. So you have to begin there, not outside, not on other people. That comes afterwards, when you have worked on your own corner.” ~ Aldous Huxley
