Tried and Tasted: Florame’s Almond Body Lotion

“I love to put on a lotion.
Sometimes I’ll watch TV and go into
a lotion trance for an hour.
I try to find brands that don’t taste bad
in case anyone wants to taste me.”
Angelina Jolie

Florame is another one of my preferred french natural and organic brands. I find their products to be of truly exceptional quality!

In fact, this is the 3rd time I’ve purchased Florame’s Almond Body Lotion.

It is a creamy body lotion that provides the skin with a deliciously cool sensation and the nose with a sweet appetizing scent.

But I don’t recommend you eat it.

Ahem. Yes, I did actually lick it off my hand! Just out of curiosity. And I can tell you, this lotion may look like almond yogurt. And it may smell like cherry parfait.

But this was not made to be dessert!

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter)*, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Prunus Amygdalus Amara (Bitter Almond) Kernel Oil, Tocopherol, Dehydroxanthan Gum, Cprylyl/Cypryl Glucoside, Dehydroacetic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, Sodium Hydroxide.

My Experience: Applying this lotion is in itself a real treat. It has this rich, decadent creaminess that melts quickly into the skin. I’m not sure why, but the scent really reminds me of cherries. And I’m glad that the scent is just subtle enough.

Combine the velvety texture with the yummy almond/cherry scent and I feel like I just go into this self-indulgent dreamy state.

With the exception of my hands (which require heavy duty moisturizers), this lotion leaves the skin on my body feeling really soft and supple throughout the day.

What I like about it:
- The cream’s velvety texture
- The super yummy scent
- It is quickly absorbed
- Leaves my skin feeling very soft
- My skin is comfortably hydrated throughout the day
- The bottle’s clean, minimalist design

What I don’t like about it:
- Not easy to pump out once you get to the bottom
- For an organic product, the content of organic ingredients is quite low

Would I buy it again: Definitely! This is the best body lotion I’ve found so far.

How Much: Around 12€ for a 500ml / 16.9 fl oz bottle

Where To Find It: The only place where I’ve been able to buy it is in Naturalia (the French equivalent of a Whole Foods store).

Huh? Do you not get itchy dry skin, especially in the winter?!! Ugh you’re so lucky!! Yeah, I’ve found Florame only in a few stores. I also noticed that they don’t have good ≪service clientèle.≫ I emailed them once but received no response. Too bad, because I like their products!
